DCP Update Center: COVID-19 & Safe Return to In-Person Instruction

DCP continues taking steps to protect the health and safety of our school communities, as well as honoring our students’ need to learn. On this page you will find specific steps we have taken and are taking as part of our response to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) concern as well as resources and updates for family.

School Updates 2021-22

January 17, 2022
Dear DCP Families,

We thank you for your patience this week as we have experienced an uptick in COVID-19 cases. We recognize that doing so against a myriad of challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic is difficult.

Vaccinations Update:
Students who test positive for COVID shall not come to school after testing positive until 10 days have passed to the extent allowed by County and State guidance.
According to the Santa Clara County Public Health Department, the definition of fully vaccinated has now been updated to include having a booster shot (if you are eligible). We strongly recommend that all students eligible for vaccinations get vaccinated. If your student is not vaccinated, please schedule your student's vaccination or booster appointment as soon as possible.

The CDC is now recommending the use of KN95 masks or double masking. As a result, we are now strongly recommending that all students use KN95 masks or at the very least double-mask. We ask that you ensure that your student comes to school wearing a mask and stress the importance of doing so throughout the school day and while on school grounds.

Schools will open for in-person learning on Tuesday, January 18th. Please continue to check social media and the website for any last-minute updates.

Thank you again for supporting our staff and schools as we continue to create a safe environment for all of our students.
